Hat Yai, Recommended Shopping Town in Thailand


Hat Yai is situated in Songkla province, in the southern part of Thailand.  It is one of the most recommended shopping town in Thailand.  A lot of tourists from Malaysia and Singapore go shopping at Hat Yai each year.

Kim Yong is the most famous market in Hat Yai where you can buy anything you want, such as, jewelry, clothes, furniture, etc.  There are also a lot of food and various snacks for you to select.  You can bargain those things and get good prices for sure.  This market is opened daily from early morning till 06.00 p.m. in the evening,  It is very large market, but for someone who love shopping like you will not feel tired at all!

Phu Tub Berk, Great Travel Destination of Thailand



If you love mountain, pure nature and fresh air, Phu Tub Berk, is the place that you must visit.  It is situated in Phetchabun, in the northern part of Thailand.   It is near the well-known Phu Hin Rong Kla and not far away from Bangkok, approx. 4 hours only.

Phu Tub Berk is known as the highest peak of this province.  (approx. 1,768 from sea level)  I can say that it is "the Land of the Cold" because it is cold all year on the top of the mountain.  You will see beautiful scenery; amazing sea fog, wonderful flowers, etc.  The cabbage farms with pretty green look are all over the mountains.

Phu Tub Berk is a great travel destination of Thailand that you should not miss visiting!

Damnoen Saduak: Best Floating Market of Thailand


If you would like to see Thai market in very old style, then you are invited to visit Damnoen Saduak floating market.  It is well-known as the best floating market of Thailand.  It is in Ratchaburi province (approx. 109 kilometers. south of Bangkok).  This floating market attracts most foreigners all over the world.  It is crowded with a lot of people, both Thai and foreigners, daily from about 8 a.m. to about 11 a.m.

At this floating market, you can buy a lot of fresh fruits such as oranges, grapes, papayas, etc, or vegetables such as cabbages, bean, onion, etc. or Thai best dessert from small rowing boats.

There are also nice souvenirs or t-shirts for you to buy for your friends.  It will be your exciting experience to buy and bargain for those things from the boats.

Besides, you will also see the traditional Thai houses and their daily life traveling by boats.  It is very amazing!

Long Boat Racing: Amazing Tradition of Thailand


Long Boat Racing is one of the amazing tradition of Thailand.  It is a kind of famous and popular sport in the old days till present.  It is a good example of sport which has been developed from daily life of Thai people who live along the riverside.  In the past, boats had been one of the main transportation; most of Thai people went by boats everywhere.  And it seems that wherever there were boats, there would be boat racing.

Nowadays, the amazing tradition of long boat racing is held annually towards the end of the rainy season (approx. September or October).  The well-known boat racing is in Phichit or Phitsanulok province.  It is one of the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing and exciting sport, festival or tradition which attract both Thai people and foreigners.  Besides, it brings enjoyment and happiness.  You will also feel the spirit of this sport as well.

In addition to boat racing, then you will see a lot of beautiful decorative long boats especially in the southern part of Thailand, in Pattani and Narathivas province.  They are all special type of boat known as "Gorlae" as below:

Koh Phangan, One of the Most Wonderful Islands of Thailand



The tropical beauty of Thailand is everywhere and Koh Phangan is the good example.  Koh Phangana is a nearby island of Koh Samui, in the South of Thailand.  It is well-known as the Island of Full Moon Party.

In my opinion, Koh Phangan offfers a mix of nature lover and nightlife lover.  If you are nature lover, there are so many things to see, especially the beautiful beaches that most dreams are made of.  You will also see a majestic view of the sinking sun.  I can say that you will surely enjoy hours of peaceful solitude there.

Moreover, you will have a lot of activities to do all day, such as diving, you can explore Koh Phangan's beautiful nature under water, you will see wonderful sites such as beautiful coral reefs, colorful marine life, amazing rock formations or spectacular scenery.  All of these things make Koh Phangan to be as the most famous dive site in the Gulf of Thailand.   
 
 
In the meantime, for nightlife lover, you can attend the Full Moon Parties where you will enjoy dancing or hopping at the bars with a lot of foreigners along the beach.  The Full Moon Party is hold on full moon night each month on Haad Rin.

Amazing Hin Ta Hin Yai in Koh Samui

 
Hin Ta Hin Yai or Grandfather and Grandmother rocks is a must see place in Koh Samui.   It is an amazing natural rock sculptures that you have never seen anywhere else before for sure.  The rocks are resulted from the granite that were eroded by water and heat. 

Hin Ta Hin Yai are the symbol of Koh Samui where both Thai and foreigners stop to watch.  You will see nearby islands and beautiful view from there.  Besides, you will feel plenty of fresh air as well.

Moreover, Hin Ta Hin Yai is a nice place to see beautiful sunset and you can take wonderful photos with these amazing rocks accordingly.

Silom, the Most Famous Shopping Street of Thailand


Silom Road is the most famous shopping street of Thailand.  It is well-known as a shoppers' paradise.  Here, almost everything can be bought or bargained for.


There are plenty of shops along the street offering stylish clothing or brightly colored, inexpensive fabrics such as the Thai Silk, Jim Thompson.  Besides, there are good choices of cotton as well.  I can say that all of the silk, cotton or linens are incredibly cheap.

There are also exquisite buddhist arts that you can buy as for souvenirs.  They are selling in unbelievable prices.


Generally, shopping is best done on foot and you can buy what you love at Silom Road, the most famous shopping street of Thailand.  It is really a place for you to go shopping!

Pattaya: One of the Most Wonderful Cities in Thailand


Pattaya is situated on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand.  It is one of the most wonderful cities in Thailand.  With its magnificent coastline and turquoise sea, Pattaya becomes a wonderful city and famous throughout the world.  Besides, it is in a beautiful location and the beaches are very blissful. 

Whatever your interest such as sun-bathing, snorkeling, or even if you just want to relax by reading your favorite books under the sun, I would recommend Pattaya as a place for you to go. 

There are a lot of excellent hotels for your choices.  Many of them offer the good services of water sport activities such as jet skis, speedboats, etc.

Loy Krathong, the Beautiful Festival of Thailand



Loy Krathong is one of the most beautiful festivals in Thailand.  In the old days, Thai people hold this loy Krathong festival because they would like to express their gratitude to the goddess of water.  Loy Krathong festival is held on the full moon night of the twelfth lunar month each year (November).


Nowadays, you will see a lot of Thai people celebrating the Loy Krathong festival by floating their Krathong decorating with beautiful flowers, lighting candles, and joss sticks to the river.  The river is very beautiful with wonderful Krathongs with beautiful lights.  Lovers who float the Krathong together are believed to stay together in the future.

Amazing Songkran Festival in Thailand


The amazing Songkran festival in thailand will be held in April which is the hottest month of the year.  The beginning day of this amazing Songkran festival is 13th April which was considered to be Thai New Year in the old days. 

Nowadays, Songkran festival is officially on 13-14-15th April each year.  Thai people celebrate this amazing Songkran festival with water all over the country.   In the morning, we will make a merit, give food and gifts to the monks, sprinkle water over the Buddha images.  After that we will visit our family and sprinkle water on our father and mother's hands for their blessing.  Then we splash water to each other with fun on the road for the celebration of this festival accordingly.

Two Wonderful Waterfalls in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand

If you would like to escape from the busy city of Bangkok, I would recommend Nakhon Nayok for you to visit.  It is not far away from Bangkok, only 100 km. east.  In Nakhon Nayok, you will find two wonderful waterfalls where you can feel relax with the fresh air and pure waterfall.

The first waterfall is Sarika Waterfall.  It is the World Heritage site and one of wonderful waterfall in Thailand.  It is a nice place for the one who love nature like you.


The second waterfall is Nangrong Waterfall.  It is a perfect place for you to enjoy swimming and have a great picnic with your warm family during your wonderful holiday.
